Flue Damper

I need help with insulation fireplace …?

I put a candle inside my home this winter (instead of having a real fire). I have the tube / damper closed, but I'm still getting a bad project that blows my sails and let the cold seep into my house. Does anyone have a home remedy simple to temporarily insulate a fireplace? Thanks.

The trick of the garbage bag is likely to melt in the heat of the candles. The melting point of garbage bags is at a fairly low threshold. If you go with the foam plug trick that definitely will start melting at a low temperature point and fumes that are carcinogenic, so it is out. If you go to an outlet of the chimney that will handle buried in the chandelier is. This may be difficult to place and if you close the handle the candle that you might have a problem with him singing or merger. Also the keyboard will be below the gate and down, so it might be a problem. You could go with a globe of the fireplace when installed with 3 'more or less free space above its high of the candle and leave glass doors open. His point fusion is about 200 degrees according to their website. Here is an article on the subject: http://www.chimneyballoonusa.com/blog/2009/07/fireplace-candles-can-i-burn-them-with-a-chimney-balloon-installed.html If my house i put the ball high so it could close the damper below it to dissipate heat.

Fireplace Inspection

fireplace inspection
I just went through a home inspection in an old house, and the important things are in need of repair .. advice?

I had a home inspection on a house that is 75 years old and must have some foundation (block) enhanced, and the fireplace and chimney to be repaired, and the tree is growing close to the fireplace / chimney should be removed. What are my options for this to be done, I'm not going to buy definition is house as it is, and I'm hoping that sellers will agree to repair these items. I really do not even want to do it myself, even if it means to pay much less than that of the house. I would not have done for me or not to buy the house at all. Any thought of all homeowners, sellers. I really do love the house and all its charm, but do not have to end up on HGTV or somehting like that, I need a place to live that is reliable … help …

Old houses are around as they are built strong and last long. My last house was almost 140 years. These things do not sound so bad. I think the tree removal will be as expensive. You may request that the owners make repairs, and if they want, they can offer you a credit for the same event. None of these elements would be a dealbreaker for me.

He told me at different times throughout the year he really wants both. He's turning 28, by the way, and it's outdoor activities therefore be used / appropriate. – A Leatherman Charge TTI's Cadillac multitools … www.leatherman.com / products / tools / load-TTI / default.asp or a fire pit for the backyard? A nice copper does not rust – love fireplaces / fire pits, and our new house without a chimney. Www.klockit.com/products/dept-151_sku-UUUUB.html He puts me anyway. :-) This is just the actual present. I can not buy both, because both are quite expensive.

I think it would make more use of the fireplace, a place to spend time together and just a good addition to the house, but his BD and a Leatherman is a very useful so maybe get something that I personally use is more important. Just go buy the heater from the house for the two to Why enjoy a gift.

Pellet Stove Fireplace Inserts

I want to put a fireplace insert pellet in my home / fireplace?

They said that my chimney is "not recommended" to be used often ( previous owner did not use and cover … oxidized all I guess). Is it necessary to invest in repairing the chimney liner to have a pellet stove insert You can use the fireplace as shown. Or simply "venting" that in part by the fireplace?

If you have a chimeny in need of repair, DO NOT use it as is. You most likely Butner down your house. There may be a couple of options, function. If it is a clay pipe, it is possible you may have to re-lined tube wall with a double or triple galvanized. If it is a metal tube will probably have to be replaced.

Black Fireplace Screen

Do you find it cheaper to have the reception in a club?

So I'm getting married in March (OMG!) I'm very excited. Anyway, my boyfriend and I are paying for everything and we're on a tight budget, so we found this beautiful garden park, where we have the wedding ceremony, and also attend receptions, the only thing is that your reception room is much more than we care to spend on it. So our apartment complex has a home very nice club, has a full kitchen, a bar, a large fireplace, chairs and sofas, big screen TV, works. We were thinking about having the reception there. We only have 30 people, including us the ceremony and reception. Our wedding will also be at 9 am with a continental b quick on the receipt. So in the clubhouse to be decorated to match my black and white, the bride and groom theme, and wedding favors have placed here and there to make people. What you think, do you think it sounds too cheap?

Ashley is NOT ghetto as the first poster said. To be honest, I think that sounds right! I know there are many apartment complex with very, very nice clubs and yours sounds like one of them! I would get the fireplace going (if possible) even though the morning. Yes, decorate with black / white issue. Simple ideas would be a black vase with white flowers. Or, a shallow dish with stones in the black background and a floating candle black. Very elegant. If the budget allows, try to get real tablecloths (instead of plastic). That would be fine. You can buy disposable "clothes look" tablecloths: If http://www.partyatlewis.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=partyatlewis&Product_Code=9485&Category_Code=linen-whites your budget does not, then just go with plastic. Once again, it's ghetto. Sounds nice!

Tile Fireplace Surround

tile fireplace surround
I want to change my marble fireplace surround or faces, which they call ….?

So how do you do? Is it a project for a beginner possible? HGTV makes it look. We have this interesting marble color front or surround with a heart made of the same material. I take it, and use tile in place. I also want to raise the home a couple of inches. Any books or websites, or some helpful advice? I'm not a very practical person, but I can follow directions well and am a good student. I'd rather do this myself reduce labor costs -. NO is the chimney, but the part that goes into the chimney of the appliqué. It's like a place that fits perfectly within the framework of the fireplace.

The party reaches the two sides and top of a chimney is called the fireplace. Yes, you replace tile is not very difficult but not easy either. You have to remove marble fireplace carefully so as not to damage anything as marble is heavy and slippery. Once you get off, is probabley attached with adhesive, you can find a way to frame the hearth with 2'x4 'and wood plywood. A tile board support wherever you are installing tile, get a good book mosaic tile Home Depot book is good, and put on your finish. Will need to rent say to make a wet clean cuts.

Chimney Cap Cover

Where I can get a screen cover my chimney cap?

The top is 24.25 "square and I'm looking for a wire mesh cover to go over it to keep birds.

I made my own garden and some wire fencing. Cut wire to length and height and the use of cable to join the ends. I painted mine black to match the top. Seems to come to the top! Check out or save some value as for fencing.
